In Memory of Galina Kriger

posted Tuesday, 13 December 2005
This is an e-mail from Vlad Kriger whose late wife Galina was killed in a car crash in September of this year. The text is minimally edited.

My dear friends!

I want to send some detail information about upcoming Concert Program and the Art Show in memory of my wife Galina:

Amazing Things will present a concert by the soprano, Elena Zoubareva ( www.elenazoubareva.com ), on Sunday, December 18th at 3pm.

Elena's program, "La Tempesta di Mare", combines traditional Classical and Romantic
styles with modern crossover songs, elements of theatrical presentation and operatic
sound in Italian, French, Russian and English. This highly dramatic and intense way
of performing songs is influenced by opera. Elena named it "Canzone d'Opera".

During a three or five minute song of highly intense material, both vocally and dramatically, she creates a real theatrical play. Elena uses an unusual mix of Rachmaninov, Morricone, Khatchaturian, Webber, Shastakovitch and Giraud. She will be accompanied by Alexandra Samsonova - piano; Norbert Kael - piano; Agnes Kael-Nagy - cello; Marenglen Skendo - flute; and Marcio Roberto S. D'aLari - percussion.

Following the concert there will be a reception from 4pm to 5pm. The art works of
Anna Kriger ( www.annakriger.com ) will be on display and available for sale during this time. Anna is a young, very talented artist, who has had a number of successful shows. This show is in honor of her late mother, who was a great friend of Elena's.

Tickets are $12 in advance, $14 on day of show, $1 off for students and seniors.

Tickets may be obtained by calling 508-405-ARTS or on our website www.amazingthings.org

I want to express my deeppest sympathy, and thank you all from my heart for your Love and support in this difficult time!

Dearest Family of Gala: I wish to extent my most sincere sympathy for the loss of this beautiful, radient woman known in the horse world as Gala. She was such a lady............a wonderful friend to all who met her.........humble, friendly and beautiful as a picture. She is missed terribly.
